On this week’s edition of “The Hal Lindsey Report”:  If there’s one contemporary cultural phenomenon that gets under my skin, it’s “Political Correctness.”  This week, I want to take a closer look at how “PC” is slowly destroying our society and eroding our freedoms as Americans.

Don’t make the mistake of thinking that “political correctness” is simply a product of the evolution of our culture and our growing sophistication as a society.  It’s not.  Rather, it is a TOOL being used by the ‘progressive’ (read that ‘liberal’) elements of our society to intimidate most of us into silence.  If we’re afraid to speak out, then we can’t stop them from pursuing their evil agenda.

As a political device, “political correctness” flows directly from Karl Marx.  Speech-manipulation is nothing more than a tool of classical Marxism.

There are two raging issues in our country today that literally depend on “political correctness” for the traction their proponents have gained.  Those issues are illegal immigration and the Islamification of America.  This week, I’ll show you how they stand or fall on the definitions of the terms thrown about everyday in the media and at the highest levels of government.

When I watch TV and see the protest signs, listen to the protesters being interviewed, read what the movement leaders have to say, and see how the government officials react like deer caught in the headlights, it almost makes me nauseous.  Words and their meanings are vitally important.  Yet the very words that are needed in these debates have been so horrendously and maliciously skewed that the truth is nowhere in sight.  And how can anyone make rational decisions if the basic premises are out of whack to start?

Jesus said that “you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free.”  In a politically correct society, truth is the first victim.  We live in a politically correct society.

Many of you write to me to express how helpless you feel as you watch these charades unfold on the nightly news.  I completely understand.  I have an idea.  It’s not a new one.  I know others are doing this around the country.   When you feel in despair over how quickly our nation is sliding into this pit of confusion, deception, and denial, and you ache to do something about it, make it a point to pray specifically that God will cause the truth to be revealed.  You don’t have to pray ‘against’ anyone or any organization, just pray that the lies will be exposed and the truth will be revealed.  We know that God loves the truth and if He, by His grace, intervenes to cause the truth to be revealed in our culture, our society, and our government, then maybe we can begin to see a return to sanity and our Judeo-Christian heritage in our beloved America.

Our national anthem closes with these words:  “O, say, does that star-spangled banner yet wave o’er the land of the free and the home of the brave?”  If we, as Americans and Christians, don’t make this the ‘home of the brave’ by fearlessly defying political correctness, then soon we will no longer be ‘the land of the free.’

On this week’s edition of “The Hal Lindsey Report,” in recognition of our nation’s birthday, I’m offering a ‘Fourth of July Meditation.’ I’m calling it, “Does the Flag Still Wave?”

Everyone recognizes that the United States of America is now the world’s only superpower. Its economy is the engine that drives the world. Even in our difficult times, it is still the cornerstone on which the global economy rests.

Twice in one century, the United States saved Europe, and the rest of the world, from the domination of tyrants. Later, America drove the Soviet Empire into the ground and, in so doing, secured freedom for untold millions of citizens and scores of nations.

No matter your politics or what label you attach to your beliefs, it is undeniable that, to this day, America remains the last, best hope of the world’s oppressed.

Yet the United States of America exists in the shadow of an uncertainty. Have you ever thought about the fact that even our National Anthem acknowledges that it is possible to forfeit or lose the magnificent heritage that is the United States of America? When Francis Scott Key penned the words to The Star Spangled Banner, he ended the first verse (which is the one customarily performed as our nation’s official anthem) with a question: “O’ say does that star spangled banner yet wave o’er the land of the free and the home of the brave?”

Whether he was being prophetic or simply poetic is not important. His inclusion of that question rightly implies that America’s great freedom and promise cannot be taken for granted. It came into existence through the great courage and sacrifice of our forebears. It can fade from existence through the antipathy and apathy of its current citizens.

That’s why so many of our Founding Fathers found it imperative to insist that the form of government they established can only prosper if the citizenry is predominantly Judeo-Christian. They minced no words when they proclaimed that our democracy can only succeed if it remains founded on the principles of Christianity and respectful of its Judeo-Christian roots.

Yet, today as no time in our history, those very roots and principles are under ferocious attack. It’s as if major elements of society have hoisted their axes, determined to chop away at the roots of our democracy until the magnificent tree of American freedom shivers and falls.

That’s why there is no time to lose. As Christians and patriots, we must seek God’s mercy for our faltering nation. The forces of darkness have succeeded in marshaling their greatest assault yet. And the speed with which recent changes have weakened the basic foundations of our society is nothing compared to what we may see in the coming months. If we are to see our nation saved, we must earnestly call out to God, repent of our sins as a nation, and humble ourselves before Him.

I believe we are approaching a critical moment in the determination of our nation’s future. Our President is facing multiple crises: the Gulf oil spill, the change of leadership in Afghanistan, the looming military showdown with Iran, the future attempts by Muslim nations to bust the Israeli blockade of Hamas, the plummeting housing market, the stagnant jobs picture, the impending bankruptcy of several states, and more. Yet his focus seems to be on securing passage radical legislation like the disastrous ‘cap and trade’ bill designed to hamstring our energy policies and our nation’s economic future. I think the greatest crisis we’re facing, though, is a “Crisis of Cynicism” — the President’s own cynicism about the uniqueness of America and the true value of its heritage, its strengths, and its sovereignty.

You may be saying, “Uh-oh, here he goes again. Hal is mixing politics and religion. Doesn’t he know ministers aren’t supposed to do that?” I’ve got news for you. Religion and politics are two sides of the same coin. You cannot fully appreciate the Gospel story without an understanding of the prevailing religion and politics of the time. What’s more, understanding the political events and trends of our day is essential to understanding the outline of unfolding Bible prophecy.

Many consider Sir Isaac Newton to be history’s greatest scientist. He was also a Christian. His study of the Book of Daniel, Observations Upon the Prophecies of Daniel and the Apocalypse of St. John, was published more than four centuries ago. In it, he concluded, “About the time of the end, a body of men will be raised up, who will turn their attention to the prophecies, in the midst of much clamour and opposition.”

That statement is true on many levels. However, one that especially concerns me is the insistence by some that those of us who study prophecy should refrain from applying the Bible’s predictions to any of the political happenings or trends of our day. Remember, the PURPOSE of prophecy is to warn the reader, viewer, and listener that time is growing short to make a decision for Christ. Our job is to show HOW prophecy is being fulfilled in our world today and to warn people to get right with God. Like it or not, our world is run by governments. Governments run on politics. To a huge extent, politicians determine the course of our lives. They decide what we can and cannot do. Soon, they’ll decide what we can and cannot say. All of the processes that make possible the fulfillment of the prophecies concerning our world will be political processes. In light of this, if anything demands our attention, it should be politics. After all, the Antichrist is not going to be a master magician. He’s going to be a master politician!

The lynch pin of all Bible prophecy for the last days is the existence of a Jewish State called “Israel.” There is no question that Israel is, hands-down, the most hated nation in the world today. The ‘Jewish Question’ is one of the most perplexing issues of our time. Yet, despite the formidable contribution of Jews (only .5% of the global population) to the world’s culture, economy, religion, science, and education; despite the fact that Israel has the only Western-style representative democracy in the Middle East; despite the fact that she has been under siege by her enemies the entire 62 years she has existed, surviving five wars of annihilation launched against her; and despite the fact that the industrialized world is literally at war with radical Islam, when it comes to choosing sides between Israel (one of us!) and the self-declared enemies of the West, the West sides with the enemy!

The Bible says that in the last days Israel will stand alone against the world. Today, Israel, more and more, stands alone against the world.

God promised Abraham that He would bless those who blessed him and his descendants, but that He would curse those who cursed him. God also promised Abraham that through him and his seed, all families of the earth would be blessed.

History seems to confirm this. Those people, nations, empires, and kingdoms who blessed and protected the Jews enjoyed the blessings of God. When they turned their backs on God’s people, their national fortunes faded. Why should we think America is not subject to the same blessings and curses?

The Obama administration has been quietly assuring European and Arab leaders that if the Israeli-Palestinian peace talks are still stalled in November, the President will personally convene an international peace conference to impose a solution on the region.

The latest target of the Obama Reformation League is Wall Street and the nation’s bankers. But are the banks that were “too big to fail” a couple of years ago “too big to regulate” now?

Every industry and every special interest group has a lobbyist now. The Antichrist is no different. In fact, one of his chief lobbyists recently spoke to the Council on Foreign Relations.

Think “The Tribulation” is years away? I’m thinking now that the conditions are ripe for the Tribulation to plausibly begin in days or weeks, not months or years. And if the Tribulation could be that close, how near does that make the Rapture? Are you ready?

Isaiah predicts that Damascus will be obliterated in the first of two ‘last days’ wars. The second is predicted by Ezekiel to involve Russia. But why would Russia care enough about tiny Israel to go to war against it? Ezekiel says it will be for profit. Or possibly for loss of profit? As you know, for many years I’ve said that for Israel to be at the “center of the world,” as Ezekiel suggested, it must come into possession of great wealth. I’ve also believed that that abundance may come through the discovery of vast oil and gas reserves. America’s own United States Geological Survey now confirms that Israel, indeed, sits atop unbelievable quantities of these resources. If its natural gas reserves were to allow Israel to replace Russia as Europe’s primary supplier of natural gas, then Europe will be grateful and protective. If Russia loses that revenue and geopolitical leverage, it may be furious and vengeful.

I’ll tell you why I think we’re mistaken in commemorating “Good Friday.” It should be “Good Thursday!”

And you probably know that the Feasts of Passover, Unleavened Bread, and First Fruits dramatically and poignantly foreshadow the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus. But there may be some aspects of the preparation for those feasts that surprise and move you.

On this week’s edition of “The Hal Lindsey Report”: Last Sunday marked a milestone in America’s story. It was the day the Congress ripped the “In” out of our foundational “Declaration of Independence.” They passed and the President signed our new credo. I call it our “Declaration of Dependence.” In a monumental display of national selfishness, we’ve decided to spend the next generation’s money on our health care.

In a brazen display of political arrogance, the Congress and the President ignored the wishes of an overwhelming majority of Americans. They know — and too many Americans apparently don’t realize — that universal health care simply means universal dependence on the health care provider: the government. So we’ve now placed our individual health care in the hands of the same people who have bankrupted Medicare, Medicaid, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, the Post Office, Amtrak, and just about everything else they’ve touched.

On a positive note, however, I have a feeling these events will drive true Christians to a greater dependence on the healing power of the Holy Spirit. Maybe we’ll realize that it’s wiser to trust God for our health and well-being than the bureaucracy in Washington!

Hezbollah is sending 5,000 soldiers to be trained by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard near Tehran. Their mission? A sweep from Lebanon through northern Israel to the Galilee region. Apparently, it will be part of a future coordinated uprising in Israel. Iran is shipping weaponry to Hezbollah in Lebanon and Hamas in Gaza. How do we know? Some of their barrels - packed with explosives - washed up on Israeli beaches last week.

Ayatollah Khameini’s recent threat to punch Western arrogance was pretty much empty, but Ahmadinejad is trying to recover the fumble by declaring Iran a “nuclear state.” Meanwhile, Netanyahu traveled to Russia to press for ‘toothier’ sanctions against Iran.

I’ll bet the members of the International Panel on Climate Change are feeling a bit like the crew of the Titanic this week. The global warming steamliner is beginning to drift and take on water. Arrogantly, no one was manning the bridge when the UNS IPCC struck the iceberg aptly named “The Truth!”

This week I’m going to share a report on a controversial book by Dr. Peter Hammond. It’s called Slavery, Terrorism & Islam: The Historical Roots and Contemporary Threat. It’s controversial because the facts and figures it recites go contrary to Political Correctness. The statistics and trends I will cite may shock you and even make you feel uncomfortable in the “PC” department. But when you hear and see them, they’ll ring true in your spirit because they confirm what we’ve been seeing in the news the last several years.

And then, just to drive the point home, I’m going to share a dramatic story that’s unfolding as I write this. Mr. Geert Wilders is a Member of Parliament in The Netherlands. In fact, the party he leads is expected to become the largest party in the parliament come the next election. However, Mr. Wilders is currently on trial. He faces two years in prison if he is convicted of ‘hate speech.’ His crime? He criticized Islam. You’ll hear Mr. Wilders’ thoughts from his own mouth. You’ll say to yourself, “Hey, I agree with everything he says!” Then you may say, “Am I next?” If America continues down this path of reckless multiculturalism and political correctness, we may all be next.

Glenn Beck recently devoted a major portion of his show to Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s membership in “The Twelvers.” As you know, I’ve been warning about Ahmadinejad’s prophetic aspirations since 2005. Since Mr. Beck speaks to such a large secular audience, I’m praying that more people will begin to sit up and take notice of the danger posed to Israel and the Middle East by the Iranian president and his Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Khameini.

A perfect example of this is the fact that this week Ahmadinejad spat in the faces of the EU, the US, and the UN. After indicating that Iran would accept the nuclear fuel enrichment arrangement proposed by the Western nations, Ahmadinejad instead announced that Iran would begin enriching its uranium to 20%. That’s up from the previous 3.5% This will give Iran a perfect platform from which to achieve full weaponization enrichment much faster than previously possible.

The same day, Ayatollah Khameini told leaders of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad that not even the might of the West can save Israel now. He said that Israel’s destruction is imminent according to the will of Allah. That was before he told members of the Iranian Air Force that “The nation of Israel will soon be erased from the earth.”

Iran is putting action to its words. They’ve supplied Syria with new medium range missiles capable of doing serious damage to Israel’s population centers. They also signed a new mutual defense pact with Syria, Hizbollah, and Hamas. Any Israeli action against Iran will now draw them into the fray. (Remember Isaiah 17:1?) Last week, Iranian and Russian diplomats confirmed that Russia will, indeed, supply S-300 anti-aircraft, anti-missile batteries to Iran — soon. All of this makes any attempt by the Israeli Air Force to strike Iran’s nuclear facilities infinitely more dangerous.

Contrary to what President Obama declared in his speech to the Turkish parliament, America IS a Christian nation. Just ask the CIA! The CIA World Factbook gives the stats to prove that the United States is the most Christian country on earth. Now that’s information compiled from strictly secular census data, not based on the Biblical definition of a Christian. But it doesn’t really matter to the rest of the world. They have no problem identifying America as the world’s representative Christian nation. That’s why the Muslims see a giant bull’s eye when they look at the United States. (And it probably doesn’t help when they watch American television and movies and see us portrayed as rich, greedy, lascivious, lazy, moronic, self-centered, foul-mouthed, sex-obsessed, gender-bending perverts!)

However, America, as authentically Christian as it REALLY is, doesn’t seem to be present in the prophecies of the Tribulation period. Paul offers perfect descriptions of a declining, self-imploding society (America?) in the run-up to the Tribulation, but it seems to be absent from the action of that terrible time. The Apostle John even describes the modern church in his depiction of the church at Laodicea. But there’s no America having an impact on the Tribulation scenario.

America is facing a threat that is beginning to take its toll. It’s a little like the growth of a deadly mold in your home. You never know it’s there until you begin to feel its effects in your body. And it can be lethal. If you don’t attack it with resolve, it might kill you. … That describes the insidious enemy we’re facing today here in the United States. “Political Correctness” the paralyzing fear of what others may think. It prevents us from acting in our own best interest.

On this week’s edition of “The Hal Lindsey Report,” I’ll discuss four recent stories that perfectly illustrate this immense danger facing America. The suffocating paralysis induced by political correctness opens the door to our own self-destruction, especially when confronting the threat posed by radical Islam.

Is it already too late? The Bible describes this condition very explicitly in the prophets’ discussion of the last days. Friends, America is in crisis. We can no longer just treat the symptoms, we must deal with the infection itself. It will be painful, exasperating, and perhaps frightening, but we must eliminate this insidious killer before it irreversibly cripples us. I do believe, however, that the Bible offers a remedy. On this week’s edition of “The Hal Lindsey Report,” I’ll look briefly at Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s recent visit to Israel. She praised Prime Minister Netanyahu for his efforts at restarting the peace talks. She also rejected the Palestinians’ insistence on preconditions. That infuriated the Palestinian Authority. Because of it, yesterday Mahmoud Abbas threatened not to run for re-election in the upcoming January election.

Clinton’s remarks in Israel are in marked contrast to President Obama’s recent public condemnation of “the Israeli occupation.” You could describe America’s official attitude toward Israel as ’schizophrenic.’ That dichotomy not only confuses the Israelis, it confuses Americans as well.

More importantly, it causes confusion among Christians. In fact, some mainline Protestant denominations have divested themselves of any investment in Israel and have withdrawn their support for the Jewish state.

There is ongoing and vigorous debate in both civic and religious circles over the question, “Should we support Israel?”

This week, I’m going to address that very question. In doing so, I’ll debunk a system of theology that threatens the church and could actually bring our nation under God’s curse because of its disregard for His promises and covenants.

This week and I’ll expose the fallacy and danger of the ‘Preterist’ movement and its ‘Replacement Theology.’ I’ll answer the raging question, “Should we support Israel?” I’ll tell you why I believe we must.

In a speech in St. Paul, Lord Monckton, Science Advisor to former Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, articulates his concern about the treaty that will be signed at the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen.   This is something you need to hear and something we all need to pray about.

Last week, I was surprised to learn that President Obama didn’t win the Nobel Prize for Economics. Since he’s obviously been so successful at bringing peace to the world, thus meriting the Peace Prize, I don’t understand why his astoundingly profligate spending didn’t garner the Economics award, too. But the Norwegians said they’re giving him the Peace Prize because he shares the “values and attitudes” of “the majority of the world’s population.” That’s a relief. I surely don’t want our President thinking like an American! The main reason he got the Peace Prize though, has nothing to do with what he’s done, but what he is. He’s NOT George W. Bush.

We just thought the enemy was hunkered down in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq, and Iran. Obviously not. The White House has now identified the real threat. It’s Fox News Channel. The White House Communications Director has accused Fox News of being a part of the Republican Party. She also announced that Fox isn’t nearly as reputable and objective as CNN. CNN is SO objective that it’s recently taken to analyzing and ‘correcting’ comedy sketches on Saturday Night Live that lampoon President Obama! It’s almost laughable. But the prospect of the White House using its power and resources to quash a news and opinion outlet which is protected by the Constitution (the same one that protects CNN), is no laughing matter.

Even the Federal Communications Commission is getting in on the conspiracy. In May, the acting chairman suggested that the broadcast station license term should be shortened and the renewal process given some “public interest teeth.” Finding excuses to deny license renewals is precisely how Hugo Chavez seized control of the Venezuelan media in 2007.

On the day they were to begin, Israel abruptly postponed its recent joint military exercises with the United States. No one seems to know why. Whatever the reason, it indicates that things are going on behind-the-scenes in the Middle East. No surprise there, but with the stakes ratcheting higher every day, it’s worth watching.

This Hal Lindsey Report answers the question, “Will those who are offered and reject the gift of salvation before the rapture be given a second chance?”  Not according to 2 Thess 2:5-9.  Listen to Hal’s explanation.

This week, I’ll answer some of the questions that many of you have about the timing and order of events leading up to the Rapture of the Church, then to that time of terrible tribulation on the earth. We’ll discuss which prophecies, if any, remain to be fulfilled before these events can occur. We’ll also look at the Age of Grace. What is it and when will it end? We’ll discuss exactly what will trigger the end of this current Age. That moment is known only to the Father. Even Jesus in his human nature said He didn’t know the hour or the day of that event. This Age began with a mystery and a miracle and will end with a mystery and a miracle.

On this edition of “The Hal Lindsey Report,” we’ll talk a little bit about the end of the world. More specifically, the end of the world as we know it. Someone devised an acronym to express that concept. It’s TEOTWAWKI (The End Of The World As We Know It).

However, as we approach the year 2012, this fascination is mushrooming. The Mayan Calendar seems to indicate that something dramatic will happen in that year. So does the Great Pyramid at Cheops. Hollywood has a major motion picture coming out in November that ‘refers’ to that prediction. It’s called “2012.” I’ll show you a glimpse into what some filmmakers think might happen on the ‘fateful’ day, December 21, 2012.

Also, we’ll take a closer look at “this generation.” The Bible says that the generation that sees the rebirth of Israel will not ‘pass away’ without also witnessing the end of this Age. What does that mean? On this week’s program, I’m going to discuss exactly what this generation has seen and what it can expect to see in the near future.  Please watch this “must see” report…

Did you ever think the day would come in America when you might go to jail for saying grace over a meal? Guess what. It’s here. Thanks to the ACLU, a high school principal and his athletic director in western Florida are facing fines and incarceration (up to 6 months) for saying a blessing over the meal at a boosters’ appreciation luncheon. And these guys are not radicals, either. The principal has served the district for 40 years and the athletic director for 30. Now they’re facing the possibility of prison time and loss of their pensions. It’s a new day in America. Unfortunately, this day is dawning, in great part, because we Christians have sat silent and uninvolved. Now it may be too late. Let’s resolve to change that!

Finally, atheists in Indiana weren’t able to place derisive advertising on buses in their home state, but they were welcomed to do so in Chicago. As a result, Chicagoans are now learning that, “In the beginning, man created God.” They’re also being informed that, “You can be good without God.”

But as disturbing as that effort is, it doesn’t hold a candle to sinister developments in San Diego. A pastor and his wife have been holding Bible studies in their home. The small, weekly meetings usually consist of about 15 guests. They have a meal, share some fellowship and scripture, then pray. Recently, they were visited and questioned about the meetings by San Diego county employees. Later, they were informed that they must stop hosting the studies or prepare to do environmental and traffic impact studies, as well as make application for major use permits. All told, those demands could cost them many thousands of dollars. You don’t have to hold a Ph.D. to realize the chilling effect this could have on home Bible studies and home cell groups across the nation. The pastor and his wife have enlisted the help of The Western Center for Law & Policy to fight for their — and our — First Amendment rights.

Folks, things are starting to get serious right here in the good ol’ US of A. If San Diego succeeds in shutting down this home Bible study, then Christians and churches across the country are in for a rough time. These brothers and sisters need our fervent prayer and support. God promises that He will fight for us, but we need to get engaged and remain engaged through intercession and by defending our Constitutional rights that are now being assaulted on a daily basis!

A plan that was foiled involving Russia, Iran, and Israel: it involved Russia using its intelligence assets to protect Iran from a possible military action by Israel. Hmmm. Russia joins with Iran to confront Israel. Why does that sound familiar? Was it a movie I saw; a novel I read; a video game I played? Oh yeah, it was a prediction I read in that book by the prophet and author named Ezekiel! Whew! I thought I might be having a senior moment! 

I’ll bet Mr. Netanyahu would love to have even a scintilla of the fawning love and adoration in his first ten days in office that Mr. Obama is still receiving after his first 100! But, alas, one of Mr. Netanyahu’s own ancestors, a writer named Zechariah, left him a note explaining that that love and respect will never be his. Not even a scintilla. In fact, Zechariah warns, Netanyahu and his fellow Jews should expect nothing but hate from the rest of the world — a group which he says will resemble a pack of drunken sailors in the last days!

Hey, America! I know you’re busy battling the latest ‘panic-demic’; I know you’re busy acquiring new business investments like Chrysler, GM (soon to be renamed ‘Government Motors’ ?), AIG, and the like; I know you’re busy piling on that notorious anti-gay rights terrorist, Miss California; I know you’re busy breathlessly celebrating the first 100 days of the ‘New America’ and its glorious and exalted leader, but I’ve got some news for you. Your ally, Pakistan, may soon be under new management! Our old buddies, the Taliban, are knocking on the door of the Pakistani nuclear weapons office and demanding the keys to the place. What’s even more disturbing is that it looks like the current management may be willing to just turn them over and walk away. At least that’s what Secretary of State Hillary Clinton believes might happen.

Finally, the world is in virtual convulsions trying to avoid catching the latest version of the Swine Flu. For a contagion that has, thus far, proven to be remarkably mild and non-lethal on a global scale, it has disrupted the world’s activities in a way few health scares have. Jesus Himself noted that in the last days we would witness a growing cacophony of threats and disruptions. Among the events He described were wars and rumors of war, conflicts and uprisings, earthquakes, famines, climate change, and plagues (or rumors of plagues?) in various places. He illustrated by describing the quickening onslaught as similar to what a woman experiences as she approaches childbirth. The ‘birth pangs’ will continually increase in frequency and intensity as the end nears. That’s a profound description of what is happening before our eyes today.

There are powerful people and organizations right here in the United States who have been working diligently for years to bring America under the authority of a global government. Unfortunately, it appears they are succeeding.  They are being helped immeasurably by the global economic meltdown. The debate is raging over whether the economic crisis is a result of normal market cycles and risky financial practices or it is a ‘manipulated’ crisis — meaning powerful financial families and institutions have intentionally caused it in order to benefit from it. Either way, the globalists are taking advantage of the fear and panic to forward their ‘one-world’ agenda.

In Part 1 you saw Secretary of State Hillary Clinton blithely tell a gathering at the European Union that the Obama Administration is using the economic meltdown to advance its agenda on climate change and energy.
In the same way, the ‘globalists’ are using the crisis to not only lay the foundations of a one-world government, but actually create the first governing bodies in that one-world regime. And the United States is eagerly signing on with the program. On the news each night, we are actually witnessing prophecy being fulfilled before our eyes.

In Part 2, we examine the critical Bible prophecies that describe the events we are watching unfold today. Those prophecies also describe the two leaders who will emerge to lead the one-world government that now looms in our future.

How the Rapture fits in…
You see, the ‘man of lawlessness’ that will lead the one-world government cannot be revealed until the One who restrains him has been removed from the earth. ‘The restrainer’ is the Holy Spirit. And since the Holy Spirit dwells in all true believers, to remove Him from the earth means we must be removed, also. That’s what we call the ‘Rapture.’

Because we see the Antichrist’s government now being created by the nations of the world; because we see the world plunged into financial chaos and desperately searching for a solution (which is precisely how the Antichrist will achieve worldwide control); and because we have a blow by blow blueprint of these final days provided us by the ancient prophets, I can say with authority that time is short. Make sure you’ve accepted the pardon that Jesus died to purchase for you. Make sure your friends and family have the opportunity to accept this pardon, too.

On this week’s edition of “The Hal Lindsey Report,” I’ll begin a two-part series called “Global Government Rising.” In Part 1, I’ll examine some of the historical events and developments that have led America to this critical moment in its history.

I’ll discuss the Council on Foreign Relations, the Warburg family, and the birth of the Federal Reserve. Each has played a pivotal role in setting the stage for a new global order.

I’ll also examine the economic philosophies known as Socialism and Fascism. Like me, you’ll be amazed at how many characteristics of these two systems are manifesting themselves in our nation today.

Finally, I’ll share with you my thoughts about how this accelerating march toward a one-world government directly challenges the world order that God instituted in Genesis 11 and prepares the way for the unveiling of the Antichrist.

Every day brings news of another crisis, another bailout, another affront to our individual rights, another threat to our nation’s heritage, freedoms, and liberties. Jesus commanded us to recognize the signs of the season so that we’ll know when the time of redemption is drawing near. That’s why it’s important that we study these developments with a clear eye and an open heart.  I don’t want you to be afraid, I want you to be alert and prepared.

Last year, the Bush Administration wanted to relax the requirements and permit more offshore drilling in U.S. coastal waters to deal with dramatically rising gasoline prices. At the time, then-Congressman Rahm Emmanuel emphatically declared (even striking the podium for emphasis) that the Democrats would not let the Administration use the gasoline-price crisis to “scare” the American people into doing something so foolish as tapping into our natural resources to relieve the price pressure on gasoline stocks.

Fast forward a few months. Rahm Emmanuel is no longer a Congressman. He is now President Obama’s Chief of Staff. He recently stated, “You never want to let a serious crisis go to waste. And what I mean by that is an opportunity to do things you think you could not do before.” I guess he’s singing a different tune now because he’s the one wanting to do something. Last year, his job was to prevent the Republicans from doing something!

Back then, the Republicans wanted to use the gasoline-price crisis as an opportunity to increase our domestic production of oil and reduce our dependence on foreign oil. That was a goal actually related to the crisis! The problem must have been that it was just too simple and logical.

Mr. Emmanuel is apparently dealing on a higher level. The Obama Administration wants to use the current financial crisis as a springboard to do “logical” things like institute universal healthcare, increase funding for the abortion industry, and fund political action groups that supported Obama in the last election (all of which I’m sure are stimulating, but just not to the economy). The hypocrisy is breathtaking!

He also reports on President Obama’s expressed desire to reach out to the “moderate” elements of the Taliban; Iran’s rapid progress toward achieving nuclear weapons; North Korea’s threat to get tough with us if we dare to shoot down its upcoming satellite launch test; and Hal’s proposal for beating Iran to the punch.

Finally, I’ll show you how President Obama’s and Secretary Clinton’s statements and actions in the Middle East may be sealing America’s doom.

On the domestic front, the Congress passed the giant stimulus package and President Obama signed it into law. Since then, the President has announced his intention to spend another $275 billion to avert a “national crisis” in the mortgage and housing industries.

Some information about the true extent of the foreclosure crisis that will probably surprise you. Did you know there really isn’t a truly “national” foreclosure crisis? Only five states out of 50 qualify as having a mortgage crisis. 25 of the states have foreclosure rates of less than one-tenth of one percent! But the rest of us are having to bailout those holders of ‘toxic mortgages’– most of which are re-finances, not first time or primary mortgages.

Our economy requires ‘debt’ to function. It’s a system that encourages us to spend money we’ve not yet earned and penalizes those who work hard and try to live within their means.

Jesus commanded us to ‘recognize’ the signs we see all around us. Today, more than at any time in history, we are seeing an avalanche of events pushing us toward the time of Christ’s return. He said that when we see these things come to pass, then we can know that He is “at the door.”
